FREE markmaking workshop - A celebration of David Hockney

£0.00

Last week I was saddened to hear the news of David Hockney’s death.

He had a real zest for life. At the end of his bed he famously kept a note in capital letters:

GET UP AND WORK IMMEDIATELY

That spirit feels very much in keeping with the ethos of Now, Draw! Don’t overthink it. Don’t get stuck on ‘But I can’t draw…’ Just draw. And draw now. Now, Draw!

So let’s draw together and celebrate David Hockney’s work and joy of life!

David Hockney used expressive marks to create texture and movement in his work. His varied, spontaneous lines and brushstrokes give his paintings a vibrant, energetic feel and help bring the subject to life.
