An online portrait drawing session
Join from the comfort of your own home and spend an afternoon drawing from a live professional model. Work with whatever materials you love - pencil, charcoal, paint, biro, clay or even nail polish!
All abilities are welcomed. Whether you’re just starting out or returning to drawing after some time.
As well as the opportunity to draw live from professional models, what makes this session special is the atmosphere: a friendly, supportive group of people who enjoy drawing together. There will be the opportunity to share your work during the break and at the end, or you’re very welcome to stay off camera and remain anonymous.
Model: Sarita
Time: 4–6pm UK time (via Zoom) CLOCKS WENT FORWARD END OF MARCH)
Booking in advance is recommended.
Important information: Zoom link
When you book the ticket you will receive an automated email with the Zoom link. This email usually goes to people’s email junk folder. Please save this and keep it safe.
A note on price
This session will run on a sliding scale to keep them accessible. If the lowest tier feels out of reach, please get in touch - we’ll find a way.
If you’re able to contribute at the higher level, it helps sustain this session and keep lower-cost places available for others.

Lunchtime
12:30 - 13:30 British time 🇬🇧
The aim is simple: to step away for a little while from the practicalities of daily life and spend time noticing the small things around us.
You’re welcome to follow the exercises or simply draw in your own way. All drawing abilities are welcome. The focus is on enjoyment and the process of looking and drawing, rather than striving for a perfect finished piece. Discover what happens when you let go of rigid expectations.
We’ll begin with a few warm-up exercises to get the hand and eye working together. Plenty of time to look closely, draw, and if you want to, show your work at the end.
As this class is new to Now, Draw! we will be trialing 10 minutes of seated stretch with a professional yoga teacher at the beginning.
Testimonial:
‘‘For years, Susannah’s classes have been one of the most inspiring and grounding parts of my week. She has a beautiful way of blending creativity with mindfulness, encouraging us not just to draw what we see, but to truly slow down and observe with care and curiosity.
Her classes create a welcoming, thoughtful space where people of all levels can grow creatively and feel supported. The sense of presence, creativity, and community she brings is rare.
Susannah’s teaching has made a real difference to my creative practice, and I know many others feel the same. I’m incredibly grateful for everything she has shared with us over the years and very excited to continue learning with her at Now, Draw!’’-Pragati - a regular to Susannah’s online drawing classes
What you’ll need
• A pencil or pen. Or any materials you want to use!
• Some paper - any kind you enjoy drawing on
• Something small and interesting to draw
We especially recommend something with a lot of interesting details: a piece of fruit, a clove of garlic, a shoe, a leaf, a flower.
If in doubt, a piece of fruit is full of beautiful irregularities and tiny details that reveal themselves when you slow down and really look.
You will be sent the Zoom link before the session (I’m still figuring out how to automate sending the Zoom link, so for now I’ll be doing it manually - which means it won’t be immediate. Bear with me while I get that sorted.)
A gentle way to begin the week.
These sessions run on a sliding scale so that everyone can take part. if that still feels out of reach for you, let me know and we’ll find a way.
If you’re able to contribute at the higher level, it helps support the continuation of these sessions and keeps lower-cost places available for others.
